What we collect

Member accounts use a phone number for login and account security, an optional email address, a gender selection, profile details, policy-consent timestamps, device-session security metadata, and adult-eligibility status. Guest access uses a display name, gender selection, a short-lived random identifier, required consent records for the active session, and an adult self-attestation. The exact age entered by a guest is checked for eligibility and is not retained.

The gender selection determines the male, female, or neutral default avatar shown to other participants in room presence; an approved member profile picture may replace that default. The raw selection is not printed in a profile or chat message. Guest gender is otherwise held only in the short session record.

Chat data

Public message text uses temporary storage. The main room clears messages on a shared two-minute schedule, so a message may be visible for less than two minutes. Storage limits may remove messages sooner. We do not provide public-history search or “load older messages.” Private chat is available to eligible members and, for validated guests, only as an accepted temporary conversation with someone in the same room. Private chats have no fixed duration limit and end when participants leave or close them. A bounded evidence copy may be isolated when a participant reports a safety concern.

Why we process data

We process essential data to provide the service, check eligibility, secure accounts, screen content, enforce community rules, investigate reports, and meet legal obligations. Optional preferences are processed only after your choice.

Sharing and retention

Service providers may process limited data for hosting, messaging, safety, advertising, and operations under contractual controls. Providers for adult-eligibility or payment features process data only when those features are enabled and requested. Retention varies by record type; temporary messages use the shortest periods while account, security, audit, advertising, and legal records may be retained longer.

Google advertising

Only our Telugu typing, safe chatting, and respectful conversation articles may include Google AdSense publisher code after optional services are accepted. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve, limit, and measure ads and to personalize them where permitted. Google-certified third-party vendors and ad networks may also use cookies when they serve ads. We do not send your phone number, email address, chat messages, private messages, or profile fields to Google for ad targeting.

Advertising code is not enabled on the room chooser, public or private chat, login, registration, verification, profile, connections, sessions, payment, safety-case, legal, contact, or consent screens. User-generated chat is never monetized.

Payment processing

When payment features are available, Cashfree Payments processes the payment phone, optional receipt email, order amount, payment method details, and related fraud or transaction information under its own privacy terms. TeluguChat creates and verifies the order but does not receive your card, UPI PIN, or banking credentials. TeluguChat does not currently collect production payments. If paid features are introduced, the price and applicable terms will be shown before a purchase and this notice will be updated before payment data is processed.

Your choices

Request permanent deletion of your TeluguChat account and associated data from the app or website. Our target is 30 days. The deletion page explains processing, confirmation and retention exceptions.

You can use essential-only site storage, change privacy settings, revoke sessions, block users, appeal enforcement, or contact us about access, correction, deletion, and other applicable rights. Some records must be retained for fraud, safety, billing, or law.
